ToGether We WIll Be Heard
Our goal for NATIONAL-ABP is to show how bariatric surgery benefitted our health as post op patients. We know surgery isn’t for everyone, but for those who need and want to have the surgery, they should be able to have it without having to fight a bariatric exclusion. We want to be a million strong and for NATIONAL–ABP to make a difference for those in need. If you have been turned down for bariatric surgery make your voice heard, by joining us in our fight for you! NATIONAL-ABP focuses on the health, support, advocate and resources for pre and post op bariatric patients. Together we will increase obesity awareness through public education, and will promote healthy living. Join NATIONAL-ABP to receive our newsletters, national event notices, and have your voices heard by our politicians. Although you may have a wealth of family and friends who are going to support you through your weight loss surgery, there is nothing better than to network with others who have lived through these experiences.
Our research will show evidence collected from this survey can provide a wealth of information; the investigators, research scientists, and research staff will develop an understanding of obesity in weight management, improvement and resolution of co-morbidities, and outcomes after bariatric surgery, patient care and clinical outcomes, analyses, and public health studies, with the ultimate goal of implementing community interventions for the prevention and treatment of obesity. In addition, with this information, surgeons can provide evidence for their patients, colleagues, and payers.
